embodiment is simply being with the now. feeling the now. the now of the world flowing through your body. not needing it to change. simply being with all of it. it's an opening and unraveling. a porosity of the body. embodiment is your capacity to feel into where you intersect with the universe. it's is intimacy in it's greatest sense.

at it's simplest, devotional movement is movement + intention. it is moving your body in reverence to life. it's a bodily prayer. a call and response. it is a way of being in ceremony and conversation with the universe. it is an honoring of the divinity of the world through the temple of our body. it is asking life's questions with the body and letting your body be the expression of the answers you find. it is both a practice and a reward.

there is no right or wrong, good or bad.

we get good at what we practice. we practice dexterity, fluency, and articulation. moving in non-linear ways engages the same parts of our brains to make non-linear connections. it's the heart of creativity. making new connections makes new possibility visible.

sensuous curiosity is feeling one’s way into life by moving from head into heart, belly and pelvis. a shifting away from endless doing into embodied being by awakening to one’s senses. letting our wholly being here move us.

it is a pausing and slowing, quieting and listening in order to taste, touch, smell, see, hear and feel one’s way through life. it transforms each encounter into a vivid, multi-sensory expedition that invites a deep communion with the core of one’s being.

it is using the body as a question and becoming a malleable expression in response to it's sensorial inquiry. it is diffuse, wide, and deep, rather than a pointed, narrow focus. a sense of growing the body to include and alchemize everything in its path. widening capacity for intelligence to move through. using every sense as a path of discovery.

receptivity rather than force.

sensuous curiosity invokes one’s innate wisdom - the deep knowing unique to each being - and expands one’s capacity for experiencing embodied pleasure.

free writing in the greatest sense. free writing through free bodies. drawing with our body’s movement, writing with our mind’s imagination. an invocation. words born of the moment. words waiting to be unearthed, revealed. new truths, insights and epiphanies. words that change the way you see and how you live. loving yourself onto the page.

this isn’t about writing well or sounding good. this is about whatever is inside finding it’s way out. onto the page. into your life. you are a writer because you write.

we've been taught our entire lives to prioritize our intellectual intelligence. it is brilliant but is only one of a vast field of intelligences. like experiencing a world of black, white and grey in a universe of infinite shades of color.

it’s the difference between a romance witnessed through the flat smooth surface of pixels on a tv screen and one felt as two visceral bodies merge in communion.

to live as an active participant and not simply a detached observer is to awaken to the intelligences older than time: sensuous, bodily, emotional, extraordinary intelligences beyond mere intellect. beyond mind’s understanding.

the force that makes the hair on the back of a mother's neck stand on end signaling her child in danger. calling a dearly missed friend only to find out they were just thinking of you. the way hands touch canvas, how tongue knows taste and heart senses mood.

it's conveying everything you've ever needed to say to someone in how you hold each other's gaze, not a word ever spoken.

it's the creative power at the heart of everything. every pulsation. every breath. the source that birthed the stars also birthed you. when we practice accessing these orphaned pieces of ourselves we become richer, more creative, resourced, joyful, powerful.

to show up for each and every class with an honest inquiry into what is alive. to hold each class as if it was the most precious moment in life. to open our bodies and hearts courageously to the conversation it wants to have with the universe. to invite you to journey in companionship - feeling into the ancient wisdom that flows through your cells. to invite you into a field of possibility, an ecology of options of which to author your life. you get to pluck the possibility, what you do with it, how you integrate it, how it spills out into your life, creations, relationships. you decide who you are in relation to your life.

your experience will be and should be highly personal. promising you a destination would be caging your wild, whereas we want to set it free. this series is about making YOU your own best teacher in a shared space with like-hearted souls. about inviting you to let the world pour itself into you and change you by the intimate conversation you have.

this takes radical self-responsibility. responsibility gets a bad rap, but we see responsibility simply as the ability to respond. this container is designed to be an act of deep listening. calling forth the whole of your intelligence in which you get to respond.

this is the ultimate act of love for yourself. it's deeply devotional and powerful. but oh, the wild possibilities that live in you. we can't wait to see what you do and who you become.

i believe play and exploration is rooted in safety first. everything offered is simply an invitation into experience that you choose how far to plunge into. it is gentle inquiry rather than demand. while i ask you to leave your cameras on during classes for us all to feel the energy of a living space, you never have to be in front of the camera if you donʼt want to be.

that said, the very act of creation, is by definition - risky. we do not know the outcome, where we will end up when we create something new. if there is no risk, there is no creativity, no new, no growth, no change. so we will encourage you to risk something. how much you risk is up to you.

for years weʼve been trained to express ourselves in words. to learn and live through words. but our bodyʼs language is so much older than our minds. guided intuitive movement will open you up to whole new worlds within and change the way you live in your outside world.

plus, it’s so much dang fun! the body revels in being moved outside the linear.
